When I finished these images I showed them to my husband and he immediately said, “this is what family photos should be, not posed, just real life.” I about flew out of my computer chair. This is exactly how I feel about family photos. And why I don’t do family sessions often. Because I’m not into the posed stuff. I like the real, honest moments between family. Just kids being kids and mom and dad letting me document the moments as they are. I am head over heels in love with this family session. The cutest house! My vintage heart may have done back flips. I LOVED all of the vintage toys. Stuff I remember as a kid and older. These three babies just melted my heart and you can tell that their parents feel the same. We squealed and twirled. We walked the dog, found a “rainbow tree”, and just played. When I have my own babies, this is what I want. And if you are open to letting me come into your home and be a part of your life for about an hour, I’d love to document your family story. Letting your children be children and just having life captured as it is.

I just love this session!!! These are totally my type of family photos! I love capturing these real honest moments and I know if I were a momma I’d look back on these in 20 years and be so thankful for these. Babies just grow so fast and this is such a fun time in life. I greeted Harley waking up from her afternoon nap. Hello happy baby! I wish I were that happy when I woke up. We had a snack, read some books (her favorite thing ever), took a bath, got all fancy, took a minute to kiss her sister in heaven, and then ventured out for some family pictures. Harley is one of the spunkiest littles I know and it was so fun capturing her real personality. Did I already mention how much I love these??
If you are interested in booking a lifestyle session, please let me know! Omaha friends– I’ll be in your neck of the woods for a large part of December and I would LOVE to schedule some of these shoots while I’m there. Your children don’t have to be babies for us to capture something like this. Whether you’re a family who loves watching football together, playing games, cozying up in front of the fire, or having a big breakfast together I want to capture what’s real. Email me for more info amy@amycloudphotography.com
Love you little Knapp family!! Thanks for letting me come hang out for the afternoon!

Probably my favorite family session to date. Where kids got to be kids and family loved rather than posed! I want to shoot more family sessions like this. I love the honesty in these images. So much joy! My little heart is so happy about these!! Love you Payne family!!!
