Instagram is an amazing thing! I have met so many people and have gained so much business from the little phone app. Beatrice and I became Insta friends a couple of years ago and I’ve always loved her vibe. This woman is crazy cool and has such a rad style. Known as @thegraveyardgirl Ive always wanted to work with her but it wasn’t until the day that she had posted a shot of her new yellow bob that I contacted her to shoot. Don’t get me wrong, she was gorgeous before but I found this dress the day prior and really had no idea how I could shoot it. Fast forward 24 hours and her Insta selfie was the answer. We met up the next day, she tried it on, and we started planning! I worked with two of my favorites on this shoot, T’Ann on makeup and Rebecca on flowers. These ladies are insane and really helped pull everything together. I love giving them creative freedom to do whatever they want. The images always turn out so much better!
I insisted Beatrice bring one of her keyboards. The girl is insanely talented and I love photographing people who are super passionate about something with whatever it is they are passionate about. One of my fav shoots to date. I love setting up sessions for myself every once in a while!

This shoot is definitely in my top 5 for most favorite ever. Everything was perfect. When Marlee and I first started talking about this boudoir shoot, she had mentioned wanting something fun with harsh light. My first thought went to this parking ramp that I’d shot at before. Not only would there be harsh light on top but throughout the stairwells and secret nooks and crannies. This is where I dreamed up this almost “flasher” like boudoir shoot. Except we would be discreet about what we we’re doing and more classy.
From Marlee’s red hair, to the black fur coat paired with the black eye makeup, to the Super Top Secret location, and the cigarette T’Ann walked up to a stranger and offered to pay for to give our last look a more laid back sultry feel, this shoot was a dream. Thank you for being so fabulous T’Ann and Ericka! I love bringing things to life with you ladies. And Marlee, thanks for being brave enough to run around downtown Salt Lake in lingerie. I am so obsessed!
