I must say that my birthday was fantastic!!! Such a happy day! I even took a short nap! Tony put together a fabulous dinner of one of my favs–his homemade buffalo ranch chicken pizza–and invited friends and family over. My first birthday in Utah was super special and I felt so loved. The gifts I got were super thoughtful, the food was delish, and the company even better.
Thank you to everyone who texted, emailed, called, and Facebooked me! All together I had 143 total messages! WOW! Happy Amy…Happy Amy!

Finding inspiration isn’t hard at all. I look a lot of magazines, other photography blogs, design blogs, movies, etc. Like I said my pose isn’t exactly the same but its pretty darn close. I may do this again in the future but of different variations.

I met Meganvia Facebook a few months back. She owns a photography studio in Sioux City, IA where I went to college. We chat via Facebook and phone on a regular basis. We get each other! Plain and simple! When she asked me to do a friend shoot for her, I’ll admit I was a bit nervous. This was my first time being hired to shoot another photog! And shooting two women together is a bit hard. Posing is not easy for same gender shoots so we focused on laughing. And lots of laughing we did!!! Megan was also willing to help me cross off a wish lish item! I’ve been wanting to do a photo shoot at a greenhouse pretty bad! It was so fun and quirky! Just my style and these two had fun with it!
Thanks Heather and Megan for some laughs and a fun day! It’s no wonder you two are such good friends! You are both a riot and super fun to be around! I had a blast!

In honor of my birthday, I’ve decided to have a giveaway. Below I’ve posted a photo of Holly & James. To enter, you have to guess what famous photo shoot I stole this pose from. It is not exactly the same but it is pretty darn close. Who were the individuals in the shoot and where was the shoot featured? (Where did you see it, not where the shoot happened).
